Gilfry & Turner Performing Elijah

Popular Barihunks Rod Gilfry & Randal Turner
If you're a fan of Mendelssohn's oratorio "Elijah" and you live on either U.S. coast, then you're in luck. Two of our most popular barihunks will be performing the work. Rod Gilfry will be performing the work with the San Francisco Choral Society at Davies Concert Hall on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27. If you're on the East Coast or just need additional time to plan your concert going, Randal Turner will be performing the work with the Spring Choral Festival at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich in Connecticut. The performance is on Friday, May 4, 2012 and additional information and ticket information can be found HERE.

Here is Randal Turner singing "Der Munt're Hirt versammelt nun" from another oratorio, Haydn's "Die Jahreszeiten."

"Elijah" was written in 1846 for the Birmingham Festival. It depicts various events in the life of the Biblical prophet Elijah, taken from the books 1 Kings and 2 Kings in the Old Testament.
Here is a recent performance of "It is enough" from barihunk Alex Lawrence with the Fairfax Choral Society:
